ifelt was born out of the aspiration to rethink entrenched cycles, to point out new horizons and to create new balance. Germany produces 392.000 tons of textile waste per year. Due to the phenomenon of "fast fashion" (note: rapidly changing collections), our clothing consumption has doubled from around 50 to 100 billion new items within the past 20 years. Annually around 20% of the new bought wardrobe ends up in the old clothing container. Less than 10 percent of which goes to the needy or second-hand goods.

Telling unique stories through individual design. Inspiring people to think and act in favour of ending resources. Getting rid of fast fashion and inanimate furniture off the rack. Working towards general valid standards regarding fair labor and sustainability in the clothing and furniture industries. Creating a piece of furniture telling stories in multiple ways and growing the collection over ones lifetime.

After placing your order you will either receive a box you can fill your outworn or torn clothes into or you can use your own box. Give it to a DHL, Hermes or Post counter and send it to ifelt. Once received your box of old textile you will get a confirmation. It will then take around 4-6 weeks (hand crafting takes some time) until you receive your first piece of a consciously designed ifelt product.
