2. Per capita, 16 items of clothing end up in the used clothing container.

3. Less than 10 percent of the old clothes go to the needy or second-hand goods.

4. 40 percent of the textiles are exported as merchandise to Eastern Europe or Africa.

5. 50 percent of used clothing is unusable.

6. Part of it goes to recycling companies and becomes cleaning rags or insulation material.
